Not every concern requires medication. Many Halloween-related anxiety, emotional, behavioral, and adjustment concerns can be managed with coping strategies, therapy, family support, healthy routines, and medication when appropriate.

Scary decorations, costumes, haunted attractions, or unexpected experiences can increase fear, worry, and anxiety for some individuals.

Loud noises, crowds, flashing lights, unfamiliar settings, and increased stimulation can make it difficult to stay calm and manage emotions.

Parties, trick-or-treating, costumes, and unfamiliar social situations can create stress or anxiety for children, teens, and adults.

Scary content and disrupted evening routines can contribute to nightmares, nighttime anxiety, difficulty sleeping, or changes in sleep patterns.
